  • Professional Experience

    • Jordan Hoffman Acupuncture is a well-rounded clinical practice consisting of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicinal Herbs with nutritional and lifestyle counseling, bodywork, and a sincere desire to create a truly integrative medical practice by advocating closer ties and greater coordination between Western physicians and Chinese medicine practitioners.  Specializing in Internal Medicine, Pain Relief, and Addiction.
    • 2011 to present:  working with students ages 4 and up at Wildwood School, Westview School, Central High School Mar Vista campus, De Toledo High School (formerly New Jewish Community High School), and Mann Family Early Childhood Center at Wilshire Blvd Temple on healthy eating habits and food choices.
    • Dec 2010: “The Health of Our Little Friends” presentation to parents and teachers at Santa Monica Alternative Schoolhouse on Pediatric Health and Nutrition with a focus on Allergies, Asthma, and Eczema
    • May 2010: “The Health of Our Little Friends” presentation to parents and teachers at Woodland Hills Private School on Pediatric Health and Nutrition with a focus on Allergies, Asthma, and Eczema

    • Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4-year Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine, June 2006.
    • Acupuncture CEU courses include:  Master Tung with Susan Johnson and Dr. Wei-Chieh Young, Richard Tan’s Balance Method, and all classes taught by Matt Van Benschoten, OMD
    • Certified Massage Therapist since 1999 specializing in Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Thai Massage, Acupressure and Massage Stretching Techniques.  Over 900 Education hours.
    • Bachelor of Arts, University of California, Santa Barbara, 1994: Political Science, International Relations; Phi Beta Kappa with Honors.

    Personal Interests

    • Second Degree Black Belt in Aikido, a peaceful, non-aggressive Japanese martial art; over 20 years of study including 3 ½ years while living in Japan.
    • Foreign languages:  Japanese, Spanish, and Russian
    • Yoga, meditation, traveling, hiking and pouring through textbooks on Western and Chinese medicine
